Policy positions

This is at the root of why we are such a mess in our country today, it truly is America’s cancer. EVERY issue from healthcare and immigration to energy and common-sense gun laws are directly tied to big money and special interests controlling our congress. The SCOTUS ruling on Citizens United in 2010 has gutted our ability to get anything done to benefit Americans. There is a proposed 28th Amendment resolution in the Senate to overturn CU that I will sign on day one. Next, I will relentlessly lobby other MOCs to sign on as well. Change can come from the top and it’s time for our representatives to be on record with who they work for. Overturning Citizens United IS the game changer for this country and will be the deciding factor in whether this “experiment in democracy” succeeds or fails. It is THAT important!

I am a FIERCE supporter of M4A and will sign on to Bernie Sander’s Bill S1506 immediately. As a former underwriter, I can assure you that

insurance will NEVER work for healthcare as insurance is designed for loss, not maintenance. We waste BILLIONS every year in taxpayer dollars in our state propping up a failed system. OUR money should be used for

healthcare, not record billion-dollar profits for a handful of companies that provide no medical products or services. This is my “wheelhouse” as they say and I am so ready for that fight.

ABOLISH immediately and replace with a vigorous and fast-tracked path to citizenship. Comprehensive reform could have been passed long ago but leadership of both parties continue to turn a willing and well-compensated eye the other way every year. A working-class congress that is not beholden to donors will get this done with an aggression that is at least twice that as ICE is currently terrorizing our country. This must be a priority.

I believe PEOPLE have a right to exist and cannot support ANY government that maintains a hierarchy of citizenship based on religion or

race. I condemn HAMAS and their attacks on innocent Israelis. The atrocities committed on innocent Palestinians is abhorrent and must be

stopped. There is substantial evidence provided by the ICC that Netanyahu is committing genocidal acts and he should be charged and brought to trial for war crimes. Unlike Cory Booker, I will NOT vote in any way to continue arming Netanyahu and I will not be accepting support, money or otherwise from AIPAC in any form. Sending taxpayer dollars to Israel when we have so much need here at home is wasteful.

There is so much that needs to be changed at the state level here in NJ. I will work with anyone to open our primaries for ALL registered voters without having to declare a party. I also have fought for fair districts and

support INDEPENDENT commissions to determine our state and congressional district lines. I circulated petitions and worked to end the county line here in our state and there is much more work that needs to be done.

Guns are the number one cause of death for our children, yet we are unable to pass any legislation to fix this health crisis. This issue is another example of how Citizens United has allowed an industry, in this case the gun lobby, to control our congress. Just as we will be able to provide healthcare to our citizens with the elimination of Citizens United, we will be

able to finally protect our children with the passage of meaningful gun control laws and can begin to feel safe in our schools and communities again.
